(Pedxingismo S01.Ep12)
83 years ago today, on November 19, 1938, The Scottish Rite Temple (SRT) in Taft Avenue, Manila, was officially dedicated. Manila’s leading periodicals at that time called the Scottish Rite Temple as one of Manila’s most beautiful buildings.
After the massive bombing that levelled Manila in World War II, the SRT was one of the few buildings that survived and remained standing. In recognition of it being a significant historical landmark, a historical marker is installed on its wall by the National Historical Institute/Commission of the Philippines.
The Scottish Rite Temple in Taft Ave, Manila is my Masonic birthplace. It is the domicile of my Mother Lodge, Jacques DeMolay Memorial Lodge No.305, F. & A.M. Within the hallowed halls of this historic and stupendous edifice, I was initiated, passed and raised a Master Mason, and in due course, it is also here where I ascended the East and was installed as Worshipful Master.
Happy Day of Dedication to all Masons who consider the Scottish Rite Temple as their cradle and home.
