Since 2016 wala naman talagang tumatayong oposisyon. There is only an amorphous gathering of individuals and grouplets who simply hated the fact that an ‘uncouth’ Mayor from a ‘remote dusty town’ won the Presidency and has ruled and governed effectively that his trust and approval rating remained high throughout his term.
How do you expect those who call themselves Duterte ‘opposition’ to unite now when no Duterte is interested in running for a National position. Sila sila na ngayon ang nag-uupakan, dahil at the end of day lalabas na ang totoo at tanging basis lang ng galit nila kay Digong ay walang iba kundi ang kanilang kasakiman sa kapangyarihan.
Ngayon pa lang nalalantad na ang tunay na motibo nila sa pagtakbo, which all the more fortifies the popular clamor and desire for the continuity of Duterte’s programs of governance. That my friend is called the Duterte Effect, suave, simple pero rock!
