(Pedxingismo S02.Ep18)
My early morning ritual goes with switching off the perimeter lights of the house, fixing a cup of coffee, opening the tv for a live football or tennis match, then making rounds for the dog shift. We have ten Rottweilers so we have grouped them into teams and made a schedule of each team’s liberty ‘free range’ time and their kennel time.
This morning, by force of habit, I went to Ares’s kennel for his kennel time shift. Usually he’s already inside his cage waiting for me to close it. As I was heading to his kennel I saw his cage was empty. By reflex I tried to look around to find where he is, then sadness dawned on me, Ares is no longer with us. I look at his empty cage, took his bowl, cleaned it and held it on my chest.
Where you are now our dear big boy Puppy you won’t be needing your bowl anymore, and you can now run free all the time. Hope you, Magnus, Gruber, Brienne and Cookie are now playing together, no more kennel shift time for you kids! We love and miss you all.
